did you know that there was such a big drop in population numbers after the 3 year famine that was due to Mao’s economic policies in the great leap forward that can literally see the massive disparity in various population graphs

did you know the reason most ‘maoist chinese’ folk do not know this is because they are taught that the famine was a natural disaster and oh what a coincidence it happened just around the time of the great leap forward. 

did you know that I literally taught my chinese tutor this information and that she had absolutely no clue that the famine was in any way linked to Mao’s economic policies

did you know that no matter what you say there is no way you can deny that Mao’s failed economic policies contributed to the deaths of between 20-43 million people in a three year period alone

this hasn’t even taken into account periods such as the cultural revolution.

My grandparents almost starved to death because of Mao and his fucking Great Leap Forward and were robbed of an university education during the Cultural Revolution. This shit is serious. To this day, Maoist propaganda is alive and well in China. I was educated in a school system that told me the sun shone out of Mao Zedong’s ass. Indoctrination means people are not allowed to look up evidence to the contrary.

My grandpa was on a walk in a park in China a couple of weeks ago and started talking to a Maoist man about his age. When my grandpa said that Mao’s politicies literally killed people by starvation, the old man replied “starving to death is glorious as long as it’s for Chairman Mao!”. This is an example of the indoctrination and propaganda that renders much of the population with little alternate opinion.
